Finally Broke My Crowdfunding Rule
By oblivion437

Black Ops 2 Begins Double XP Weekend Following Release Of Uprising DLC

Posted on Friday, May 17 @ 10:38:21 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

Starting today and persisting through the weekend Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will offer double experience.  You can rank up faster and rip through those prestige levels like it's nobody's business before the event ends on Monday morning.

In addition, Black Ops 2: Uprising has just released on PC and PS3. This "fan-centric" map pack includes four levels for you to show off your aiming precision. The maps included are the following:
  • Magma: Lava carving through a modern Japanese village leaves rivers of fiery damage in its wake, providing players with dangerous terrain, compromised cover, and frenetic firefights for survival.
  • Encore: Set on the grounds following a bustling London music festival, the central stage provides players with a key vantage point overlooking the close-quarters battle of the surrounding amphitheater and main tents.
  • Vertigo: High above the clouds atop a mega skyscraper in India, players must battle across a VTOL landing pad and through the transportation terminal, bringing new dimensions of verticality to every battle.
  • Studio: Set on a Hollywood studio backlot, players will take cover in a wide-array of classic movie sets in this reimagined adaptation on the fan-favorite multiplayer map Firing Range.
It is available for the typical Activision price of $14.99 and should tie you over until we find out more about Call of Duty: Ghosts at E3 in June. Below is a trailer for the DLC pack if you'd like to learn more before you buy it.
