Black Ops 2 Debut Trailer Now Live

Posted on Tuesday, May 1 @ 17:30:19 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
Finally, it is official. After a plethora of rumors, leaks and premature reveals, Activision has finally pulled back the curtain on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The trailer is now live, and I must say, I am far more intrigued after viewing the clip than I thought I would be. I could proceed to give you a full rundown on my opinion of the video, but let's face it, that's not why you're here.

So I'll save you the jibber-jabber. Enjoy.

It's clear from the video that Treyarch is definitely striving to mix things up this time around with a variety of new and interesting gameplay twists. Did I really just see first-person horseback riding? Honestly, I had to replay the video a few times to be sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.

What did you think of Black Ops 2's big debut? Sound off in comments below.

Even though the CoD: BO was the biggest entertainment launch ever, I don't much care for the game. I do enjoy it's set 13 years in the future and happy that it's not complete hovercrafts and harmful laser guns. Maybe this CoD will actually have a good story? Why question that when I know actual "hardcore" CoD players will go straight to multiplayer.

Looked like any Call of Duty game, but with more silver stuff. Don't really know if I was expecting anything else though.

obviously its too early to make any real criticisms but i would have thought the first futuristic CoD to have a new title. apart from an old Woods, it felt like nothing to do with Black Ops at all.

i dunno... just seems strange to set a sequel to a game that was largely set in the past, in the future. yet i guess it kinda makes a bit of sense... in a Back to the Future kind of way.

anyway, like i said, too early too be able to say too much.

Maybe that protagonist we saw will be Woods, just transported into the future?

judging by the way Woods looked, if he is gonna be in it, one of those walking mech-type shooty things must be some sorta futuristic wheelchair.

or it's half set in the future. the other half is him sent back in time to warn the young Woods about an evil high tech corporation called Skytec who he has to prevent from - oh wait....

I'm seriously not seeing the difference between this and any Michael Bay movie trailer ever made. It also looks like they had a very short brainstorm session and instead of picking the best ideas, just threw every piece of ****, oddball idea into the final product.

yeah, exactly. I did not find it appealing at all. In fact, all I thought was, "well, that looks like the same over-dramatic **** again. At least they changed the setting." The gameplay mechanics will still suck though.

Looks more like G.I. Joe in a way...I'm not too sure what to think. The first CODBLOPS ruined the series for me, then Battlefield 3 came out and CoD and I got a divorce.
