Black Ops 2 Outed By Official UK Site, Coming November 13

Posted on Tuesday, May 1 @ 08:10:04 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

We all knew it was coming, but thanks to a mistake on the part of Activision, we've received early confirmation that the next game in the Call of Duty franchise is in fact Black Ops 2 and it will launch on November 13. The official UK site for the game went live early this morning, revealing not only the title's name and release date, but also some intriguing details regarding the setting. It has since been taken down, but not before our friends at The Verge managed to capture some images from the web page.

The shooter will be set during a 21st Century Cold War and is apparently taking the fight to Los Angeles. A trailer was also included on the site, but before you get too excited, just know it isn't playable yet. However, a description did accompany the non-playable clip which said the following:

"Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare. Pre-order today."

The game is set for an official reveal tonight during the NBA playoffs, so be sure to grab a bag of popcorn and tune in to TNT later this evening. Otherwise, you can always just check back here at Game Revolution as we'll be sure to have all the information live on the site for your viewing pleasure.
