Bleszinski: Notch’s Cancelation of Minecraft VR a “Bratty and Petty Move”

Posted on Thursday, March 27 @ 10:09:41 PST by Alex_Osborn

Upon hearing that Facebook would be purchasing virtual reality headset creator Oculus for the hefty sum of $2 billion, Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson announced that he would no longer be supporting the device with his popular world-building game. Apparently Facebook creeps him out.

Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski isn't particularly happy with Notch's decision to pull support from Oculus Rift, calling him out on his blog. "Notch, your canceling Minecraft makes you look like a pouty kid who is taking his ball and going home," Bleszinski wrote. "It's a bratty and petty move and it saddens me greatly."

Do you agree with Bleszinski, or is Notch justified in his decision to pull support?
