Blizzard Selling WoW Servers for Charity

Posted on Monday, October 17 @ 14:19:32 Eastern by

In a spark of philantropy, Blizzard Entertainment is holding charity auctions via eBay, starting today, October 17, to November 14, featuring server hardware "originally used during World of Warcraft's early days".

Each server piece has the World of Warcraft logo emblazoned on the front and on the signed plaque to the side. Not only these unique collectors' pieces, but they are unique to the realm they served, so users can bid on specific server blades for everything from the Agamaggan Realm to the Tanaris Realm.

All proceeds will go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a center dedicated to finding cures for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
