E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Borderlands 2 Skill Tree Builder Now Available

Posted on Sunday, September 9 @ 11:33:52 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

One of the greatest aspects of the Borderlands was choosing a character and customizing him or her to play the way you enjoy, and Borderlands 2 is following suit with even more options. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

The official website for Borderlands 2 now has a skill tree builder for all four playable characters: Axton, Maya, Salvador, and Zero. To access the trees simply go to the main site, click 'characters' at the top, and then choose which character you'd like to explore.

Borderlands 2's skill trees work very similarly to the original game; you choose your primary power and then can begin going down three separate trees with several tiers full of enhancements and abilities. However, compared to the original title, Borderlands 2 will offer you a little more bang for your point invested, and there are two additional tiers to unlock.

If you have a chance be sure to look at the skills for the character you're planning to roll and compare them to the others. Maybe you will find out that there's another character with even more enticing options for you.

I have my fingers crossed. After listening to the executive designer of gearbox play it and describe the game it seems like they have learned and fixed a lot from the first game.

It lacked a good bit in story and wasn't very fun to solo. One of the reasons I quit when I first tried it was because all my friends were different levels and on different missions. So after the long attempt to catch everyone up we all split our ways. In BL2 they allow you to reset your mission status to your partys and you can drop in and out of someone elses game. No more saves being locked to splitscreen.

Im a pc user though. So they don't like to give up split screen and it is confirmed no split screen on pc. Not to say this game doesn't have a ton of other features im still interested in. I just didn't overly enjoy playing the first one all the way through.

I really want to get it for PC because I don't like FPS on controllers but this game is best played split-screen...

    I'm getting it for PS3.

Awesome, i can not wait for this game. I am planning to play Maya, while my other 2 friends are gonna play Axton and Zero. I think i will probably spec Maya for Phaselock duration and healing the team.

I am gonna miss Lilith's Phasewalk from Borderlands 1 though.
