Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Drops A Hardened Edition Inside A Care Package

Posted on Wednesday, August 29 @ 22:00:00 Eastern by

The folks over at Activision dropped this one on my head, making for an excellent killcam last night. I guess they know I have a penchant for unwiedy, large, overpriced, gaudy piles of junk in my house. Seriously, I have a wall of Special Edition boxes I desperately need to get rid of.

Anyway, the Care Package edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops II just might take the cake in largest special edition ever, coming in an actual care package. Here's the breakdown of contents:

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Remote Controlled MQ-27 Dragonfire Drone
Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map
Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map
Collectible 2-Sided SteelBook
(2) Challenge Coins
Weapon Camo
(2) Player Card Backgrounds
Official Call of Duty: Black Ops II Soundtrack
Xbox Live CLAW Avatar Prop (Xbox 360)
Xbox Live Zombies Avatar Costume (Xbox 360)
Dynamic Multiplayer Turbine Theme (PS3)
Zombies Theme (PS3)

The Care Package edition will run $179.99, whether you're buying the 360 or PS3 version. The Hardened Edition (detailed below) will run $79.99 and come in a much smaller package. This is the start of a dangerous fall season. Time to go freeze the wallet.

For those of you keeping score at home, this means that the remote controlled helicopter is costing you $100. Is it worth it? Call of Duty: Black Ops II is slated for November 13th on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Might get the hardened edition this time just for both extra maps, although no free elite?

They said it would make more sense later on...actually...I don't think there's gonna be a paid version of Elite this year.

I doubt Treyarch is gonna follow along with that silly "Season of Content" thing that IW did.
