Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Springs a [Massive] Leak

Posted on Friday, May 13 @ 10:12:58 Eastern by

If you didn't see Modern Warfare 3 coming from miles away, you'll certainly have to admit that the game is real now. Massive leaks from the three development studios working on the next Call of Duty game have flooded to a very specific part of the internet.

Namely, Kotaku.

Sources have provided the gaming blog with images, plot details, weapon shots, multiplayer details, and... audio clips? New characters are revealed, new locales and key battles in the near-future Russian-US conflict, and even lines of dialog are detailed. What does that mean? It means that Kotaku's posts are major spoiler territory if that's your type of thing. Spec Ops returns with set missions and a survival mode and the venerable Call of Duty competitive multiplayer will be back in force.

I can't help but feel like these leaks, these whispers of Modern Warfare 3 are just a marketing plan. Not knowing will only keep fans nagging. You can expect that Modern Warfare 3 will get a full official reveal at E3 2011. I wouldn't doubt a single-player demo on stage during Microsoft's press conference and more information throughout the show. Check out our E3 2011 tag page for all the latest updates.
