E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Capcom Announces Lost Planet 3, Coming 2013

Posted on Tuesday, April 10 @ 08:27:49 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Capcom has just announced that Lost Planet 3, the third official installment in their popular third-person action series is currently in development and will release sometime next year. In addition to this news, the publisher also revealed that this latest entry will be crafted by the team at Spark Unlimited, the studio behind titles like Call of Duty: Finest Hour and Legendary.

Along with this announcement, Capcom unveiled the game's first official trailer, which features some gorgeous cinematic moments set against a snowy landscape (big surprise there).  Unfortunately there's no actual gameplay footage to be found, but considering the fact that this is just an announcement trailer and that the game is still at least a year away from release, we'll take what we can get.

The reveal was made earlier today at Capcom's Captivate Event, so expect to hear more news very soon as additional details are bound to trickle out as the event continues.
