Capcom Projects 4 Titles to Sell Over 6 Million Units in Total

Posted on Friday, October 28 @ 12:08:17 Eastern by

Capcom has posted projected figures for four of its titles: Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Street Fighter X Tekken, Dragon's Dogma, and Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) G in Japan.

In total, they expect over 6 million units to be sold, though have lowered their expectations of Operation Raccoon City by about a half-million units. I had the chance to play three of the games yesterday at a Capcom event, and I am surprised that they expect only 2 million units to sell for Street Fighter X Tekken and I think Dragon's Dogma can be a sleeper hit if it continues to improve through its next year release.

Note that these figures doesn't include projections for the equally as solid Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Asura's Wrath, or Resident Evil: Revelations.

I'm kind of disappointed that MH3G won't be coming anywhere else.

Yeah, I really think the Monster Hunter game could be a saving grace for the 3DS. I hope they release it here and possibly on the Vita too.

Maybe this means they'll put some actual effort into their next MotoGP title. Still waiting on that DLC you promised months ago Capcom... nevermind... back to SBK 2011

Of course they will. They're going to roll all the "Super", "Ultimate" and "Special Edition" sales into one category. Good on you, Capcom.
