Capcom Reveals Marvel vs. Capcom Origins

Posted on Thursday, July 5 @ 15:12:08 Eastern by

Capcom has decided to dig deep into its Marvel catalogue with the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, a compilation of two popular arcade games, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.

Both are incredible fighting titles that cemented the Marvel lineup as viable contenders in the genre. (If only DC got into the action then...) Marvel Super Heroes retains its Infinity Gem system and Marvel vs. Capcom keeps the frenzied crossover tag team action.

In terms of new features, Origins will have GGP-enhanced online play with 8-player lobbies, a spectator mode, HD graphics, dynamic challenges similar to those in Street Fighter III: Third Strike, and replay saving.

Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will be available on XBLA and PSN for $14.99 in September of this year.

No "X-men Children of the Atom"? :( That was my favorite of those old Marvel/Capcom arcade games.

    Eh, I'll buy this anyway...
