Captain Olimar And Pikmin To Throw Down In Super Smash Bros. U

Posted on Friday, July 12 @ 06:00:21 Eastern by

Nintendo has announced today that Captain Olimar, already playable once before in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, will be making a return alongside his Pikmin pals in Super Smash Bros. U. Olimar will be joining the already announced Mega Man, Animal Crossing Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer in the new title.

The announcement is suspiciously close to Pikmin 3's August 4th release date, likely made to generate some buzz for the Wii U title and raise interest in Smash Bros. fans by association.

Screenshots released alongside the announcement seem to show a new stage based on Pikmin 3.
