Clear DualShock 3 Controller Announced… For Japan

Posted on Friday, November 1 @ 08:12:24 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
Sony has just announced a very sleek-looking new model of the DualShock 3 that is completely clear. Right now it is only confirmed for release in Japan, but take a look at it below and you'll understand why I've got my fingers crossed in hopes of a western release.

Does the "Crystal" controller not look super cool? Anytime a piece of hardware is available in clear, it immediately gains a couple of extra points in my book. The device will be priced at 5,500 yen and will hit store shelves on December 19th. Here's a look at the controller from a different angle.

What do you think of this new color option for the DualShock 3? Are you hoping for similar treatment of the PlayStation 4's control pad? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.
