LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Combat Evolves to 3D in Halo Anniversary

Posted on Friday, August 26 @ 10:14:37 Eastern by

As PAX Prime opens in Seattle, WA, so does the coinciding "Halo Fest". Kicking off the weekend of Halo-related festivities is some news on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, an HD remastering of the original Halo that spawned one of the most successful video game franchise in history.

According to developer 343 Industries, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will feature stereoscopic 3D on the Xbox 360. You'll need a 3D TV and 3D glasses to take advantage of the added dimension.

This new old Halo joins Gears of War 3 as one of the few upcoming 3D-capable games available for the Xbox 360 this holiday season.

Hmm I guess HD remakes weren't enough, now it's 3D remakes! Come on Nintendo, put out a 3D port of Super Mario 64!

maybe someone with some more 3d experience can help me out. i saw one movie in 3d, in theaters. (harry potter) and i hated it(the 3d, not the movie). there were about 4 seconds of time where the picture was great and the 3d didn't hinder the experience. i will never play a game in 3d nor will i ever make use of 3d movies. i hate that it's being shoved down everyone'se throats. just make the motion clear, colors accurate and i'll be happy.

Yes, but not all of us are super rich video game journalists who are paid astronomical salaries. Some of us must scrape by on a mere pittance, eating our humble crust of bread while you dine on steak and lobster.
