Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Community Choice Game of the Year

Posted on Friday, December 23 @ 07:02:18 Eastern by

Dark Souls

Platform(s): Xbox 360, PS3

Publisher: Namco-Bandai

Developer: From Software

Go ahead and click that image up above. In the new page that opens, check out the URL slug. What's it say? It says Skyrim. But as you can see the winner of the Community Choice Game of the Year is definitely not Skyrim. It was pretty stupid of us to just assume, but we considered it a safe bet. And that image looked a lot more Skyrim-y before.

But enough about Skyrim. Dark Souls is the winner. It's an unforgiving game, and all you sadists love that, I guess. It's difficult yes, but that does not detract from the depth of the experience the game provides.

After a jaw-dropping upset having Portal 2 beating out... we won't even bother saying the name again, Dark Souls managed to best Batman: Arkham City and Portal 2. It was close. Too close, even. The nailbiter ended with Dark Souls taking the crown with 22 votes. Portal 2 came next with 21 votes. And Batman: Arkham City wasn't far behind with 19 votes.

Surprised? We sure were.

To see the entire voting process, check out the original forum thread that started it all.

Yeah I was just about to post. It was like 16 to 13 skyrim. I even miscounted a few times cuz some of the posts you kinda have to interpret, but skyrim still came out on top. I'm calling Shenanigans and we have to revote the finals.

based on this comment I also counted and found the total to be around 15 to 13 for Skyrim... I suppose it doesn't really matter but I'm curious as to how the Portal 2 was dedided to be the winner

It's like Bush Vs. Gore all-over again. But which game is Bush and which game is Gore? It was those new-fangled ballots, I swear.

Nah, this isn't Bush vs Gore. It's more like Perot vs Nader. Because the people who would vote for them all believe that matter who you vote for you're throwing your vote away, because the secret men who sit in expensive suits in a dimly lit room around the table of telephones have decided it all already. Except in this case instead of suits, they wear wifebeaters and boxers, and instead of phones it's left over Thai food.
Though don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I declare Skyward Sword is the true winner, because it would win against Dark Souls. Hands down.

People only play the Wii for the Nintendo exlusives these days Link, other than that the Wii is a dust collector.
