Dark Souls Developer Asks For Forgiveness

These days, bugs and glitches are just a part of the equation in major video game releases. Let's not forget all of those... amazing... hilarious bugs in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Of course, we haven't heard a word from developer Bethesda.

Maybe it speaks volumes that the developers behind Dark Souls are taking their bugs much more seriously, even going so far as to hope that gamers forgive them for the small frame-rate issues and off-change glitches. Creative Director Hidetaka Miyazaki told Edge:

Yes, there were technical difficulties. I don't believe that it's OK to have them, but realistically speaking, it was quite a large-scale game—even in terms of budget and expectations. So we're very sorry for the trouble caused by our processing errors and bugs from Japan.

Dude, Miyazaki, don't even worry about it. I honestly can't even say I saw a noticeable amount of bugs in Dark Souls. Sure, slight frame-rate issues, but it was an amazing experience and I certainly don't want you to think we don't want more from you and your team.

We don't even know if we'll have another chance.

We have the confidence that we can improve from our mistakes this time and create an even better Dark world, but we don't know if the users will forgive us for the mistakes, so I cannot give an exact answer.
