Dark Souls For PC Leaked By German Magazine

Posted on Monday, April 9 @ 10:49:02 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

Dark Souls was a great game, no doubt about that, and good games should be shared with everyone. Why not let the PC guys experience the pinnacle of frustration and reward too?

The cover of the next issue of PC Action, a German gaming publication, has leaked that a PC version of Dark Souls is in the works. According to the magazine the PC edition will be nearly identical to the version seen on the Xbox 360 and PS3, although two new bosses will be added.

*SPOILERS*

The two new bosses consist of Black Dragon and Guardian of the Tomb.  Both bosses look extremely intimidating, are absolutely huge, and will add even more flavor to the game's cast of over 20 challenging bosses.

*END OF SPOILERS*

Some people have speculated that both new bosses will be added as purchasable DLC for the original versions, so don't be too quick to decide if you're going to re-buy the game or not.

Given how beautiful Dark Souls was on the aging PS3 and 360 hardware, chances are it will come alive with modern PC hardware driving it. Gamepads will be supported, so you can decide how you want to play, but the precision of the mouse will be a fun new way to enjoy the ferocious combat system.

Excited? Good, but you'll have to wait until August (according to PC Action) to see this bad boy. Stay tuned for an official announcement from Namco Bandai as well as some additional details including some badass screenshots of the new bosses.

August? Damn, that discards getting a friend a nice game for his birthday, now I'll only get a copy for me. I too think the game can be even better if played on PC.

Good an RPG for PC that will kick my ass and make me like it. Does it have an easy mode?

Dark Souls isn't as hard as some people claim, tiny. It just requires pattern recognition and memory. I highly recommend playing it, it has some great set pieces and boss fights. It's a video game, in its purest form.

I still haven't finished this ****ing game. My furysword does like 10 damage to the centipede demon and I don't want to spend the multiple hours it will take to craft a weapon that doesn't do fire damage.

Same here. I got stuck on Blighttown and never beat it. I never really gave up, it's just that Uncharted 3, Skyrim, and Batman came out. I tried getting back into it a week ago and got destroyed.
