Demon’s Souls 2 "100%” Not Happening, Atlus Confirms

Posted on Friday, February 28 @ 13:30:00 PST by Alex_Osborn

Despite the success that From Software and Bandai Namco have had with the Dark Souls franchise, Atlus has no intention of continuing the series that started it all.

"[We] can 100% confirm there will NOT be a Demon Souls 2,"John Hardin, thePR Manager at Atlus said in the comments section of thePlayStation Blog.

I find this decision a bit odd, asDark Soulshas proven to be insanely popular. Wouldn't it make financial sense for Sony and Atlus to attempt to put together a sequel toDemon's Souls? It would be a fantastic exclusive to have for PlayStation 4 owners. Perhaps there just isn't the development talent available to pull it off?

Would you have liked to seen a sequel toDemon's Souls, or isDark Soulsenough to satiate your need for punishing difficulty?
