Deus Ex: The Missing Link DLC Trailer and Screens May Have Spoilers

Posted on Thursday, September 8 @ 12:12:39 Eastern by

I don't think anyone in my position should complain, but dammit, why couldn't Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have put "SPOILERS" in the subject of the e-mail they sent out today. Still, it's my duty to bring you the news, and that means posting up the trailer above and the screens below for those of you who have finished Adam Jensen's adventure in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

The first DLC pack for Human Revolution, The Missing Link, will be available in October for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC via Steam, OnLive, and others. The DLC explores Adam's three day disappearance. Producer David Anfossi said:

We are very excited for Deus Ex: Human Revolution fans to be able to further develop Adam's journey in the game with The Missing Link DLC. Gamers will be able to experience a vulnerable side of Adam like never before, which gives the overall game a whole new dimension. The Missing Link propels players into compelling gameplay, beginning with Adam being temporarily stripped of his use of augmentations; new, visually stunning environments; and the continuation of [DXHR]'s conspiracy-rich story.

If you're like me, you've got a new deadline by which you should probably finish your playthrough of DXHR. We don't want to get left behind! Here are some screen shots for those of you not shielding your eyes from the spoilers.

What is it with Eidos and bloodied, topless men? First the scarred, cut-up naked bodies of Kane and Lynch, now you've got Jensen covered in blood and metal welts. Well, at least he isn't in his 50s...

Also, not really any spoilers in the trailer or screenshots, beyond that you get on a ship at some point in the game.

I guess the whole disappearance thing felt like a spoiler to me.
