Devil May Cry HD Collection Officially Announced [Update]

Posted on Monday, October 17 @ 07:34:13 Eastern by

Sometimes rumors are too good to be true, but not the rumor about a Devil May Cry HD Collection. After a box art mysteriously appeared on a foreign retailer website, then mysteriously vanished, we knew it was coming. But now, Capcom has made it official, announced Devil May Cry HD Collection for early 2012.

Devil May Cry HD Collection features the following DMC titles:
  • Devil May Cry
  • Devil May Cry 2
  • Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition
At the moment, Devil May Cry HD Collection has technically only been announced for Europe and for a February 10th, 2012 release date. It's only a matter of time before Capcom USA confirms this news as well. We'll update with the North American release date and any further information as it comes in.

[Update] Capcom USA is saying "Early 2012" for North America and a price point of $39.99.

It's also worth noting that it's not being called a 10th Anniversary Collection, because the 10th anniversary of the original game's release, is actually today -- the perfect time to make such an announcement.
