DiRT 3 Goes Micro Machines

Posted on Friday, June 17 @ 12:46:59 Eastern by

This is quite possibly the strongest possible method of marketing a racing game I've ever seen. As someone who isn't exactly "a huge racing game fan," I'm much more interested the action of racing.

I'm also a big fan of taking little cars, like Hot Wheels or Micro Machines, and racing them at impossible speeds off of my table, or desk, or into the wall. While Ken Block doesn't crash into anything, the video here is shot in a way that recreates the childish fantasy of breakneck speed.

Still, it'd be cool to see some shit crash and blow up too.

DiRT 3 is out now.

Was that ingame footage or just very clever real world filming and editing?

If it's the former... just... wow....

I'd agree... with the correction. That's real footage. It's not likely that they'd bother to put a suspended camera on cables in in-game footage.
