After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

(Don't) Look At Mass Effect 3 "From Ashes" DLC Screenshots

Posted on Monday, February 27 @ 09:13:48 PST by

You looked. How could you?! That's it. The Reapers won.

These screenshots taken from GameStop's Facebook serve as a first look at the From Ashes DLC that is available for $9.99 as day one DLC (just to troll gamers everywhere). Those of you already getting the N7 Collector's Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition will be receiving the DLC anyway.

Michael Gamble on the official BioWare forums has described From Ashes as the following:
From Ashes” includes the Prothean squad mate, an adventure on Eden Prime, a new weapon, and an alternate appearance for every squad mate. Note that these alternate appearances are in addition to the ones already advertised in the CE.

...The Prothean is optional content that is certainly designed to appeal to long-time fans, which is why he is part of the CE offering (the version many fans would be likely to purchase). Mass Effect 3 is a complete – and a huge game - right out of the box.

The content in “From Ashes” was developed by a separate team (after the core game was finished) and not completed until well after the main game went into certification.
Oh, stop teasing us, BioWare. Instead, let us tease you with more screenshots. (No, you evil man, Nick!)
