Double Check Your 3DS Ambassadorship

Posted on Saturday, August 20 @ 16:45:00 Eastern by

Hey suckers! I mean, lovely Nintendo fans! How's that $80 loss feeling? Can you imagine all the new 3DS owners enjoying portable 3D gaming for so much less money than you are? Hey, f*** those guys. They're not Nintendo 3DS ambassadors and they won't be getting 20 Nintendo classics for free!

You will, though! You logged on to the Nintendo eShop before August 11th and got your handheld registered for 10 free NES games and 10 free Game Boy Advance games! ... Right? Wait? Did you? How can you tell? Oh my God! What if you didn't register?! How could you be so stupid?! No! Now you're really a sucker!

Hold on a second there, irrational Nintendo fanboy. This kind of knee-jerk reaction is what got you to pull the trigger on that 3DS purchase in the first place. Nintendo's got a way to check if you successfully registered for the 3DS Ambassador program. Head to Nintendo's website and plug your 3DS serial number into the box. Include the "CM" and all the numbers following.

*Phew* Now to find something else to get worked up about on the internet.

Awesome... except that my serial number starts with CEM. I checked the number with CW in front of it, and it was a part of the ambassador program, but I'm not sure if it is mine.

But I bought my 3DS and logged in in June, so I should get the games.

"Include the 'CM' and all the numbers following." One of us must be dyslexic.
