EA Confirms Battlefield 4 Is A Next-Gen Title

Posted on Monday, February 25 @ 07:50:45 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Hold onto your hats everyone! Battlefield publisher Electronic Arts has some earth-shattering news to share with the world: The fourth proper entry in DICE's popular shooter will be headed to next generation hardware.

The announcement was made by EA Labels president Frank Gibeau on the company's blog. "We’ve been investing and innovating on new technology for months," he explained. "Console partners who have seen our early work agree, EA’s next-gen software is nothing short of astonishing.

"At a GameStop company meeting earlier this week, we gave 500 store managers a sneak peak at Battlefield 4. The game received a huge ovation and thousands of fans reacted to a single enthusiastic Tweet by GameStop’s CEO," Gibeau added.

Battlefield 4 is set to launch sometime next year. Keep it tuned to GameRevolution for additional updates in the weeks and months to come.
