EA Makes Nice with Battlefield 1943 Downloads for PS3 Gamers
Posted on Friday, November 25 @ 11:42:03 Eastern by danielrbischoff

Way back before Battlefield 3's release, someone spoke too soon or wasn't authorized to speak or was just too stupid to keep his mouth shut. That's why we all thought PS3 version of Battlefield 3 would come with Battlefield 1943 on the disc.
Thankfully, the internet never forgets.
With a looming class-action lawsuit, Electronic Arts have decided to make good on their marketing foot-in-mouth and are offering up Battlefield 1943 download codes for those of you who've still got a sore thumb about getting a free game you won't play because you just bought a brand new Battlefield game.
EA's redemption portal will open up on November 26th for Europeans and December 10th for Americans. You'll need to log in with your Origin ID and request a code for your specific region.

I wouldn't forgive them had I bought this. Making me register in Origin (don't know if it's mandatory to be able to play BF3 online on PS3), making me wait until they're ready and until it downloads? No way.
This wasn't a solution to make me happy and forget the problem. I cannot give a good solution to this problem as I don't know one, but I would have never opened my mouth and caused the problem in the first place, that I'm certain about.
Show me the official advertisement, then get butt hurt. Until then, get your code play for five minutes and go back to your new $60 game.
