EA Premieres And Dates Battlefield 3: Aftermath

Posted on Thursday, October 18 @ 09:46:28 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

As announced earlier in the year EA plans to eventually release a total of five DLC packages throughout Battlefield 3's lifespan, and the fourth has now been revealed.

Battlefield 3: Aftermath has been debuted with a two-minute teaser trailer full of suspense and some movie-like theatrics. Although no first-person gameplay was shown, a fantastic new setting was and for good reason.

This fourth expansion pack will add a new environment to the multiplayer experience: a war-torn post-earthquake Iran. In addition, a crossbow has been added as have several new combat vehicles. Best of all, Scavenger Mode will be included which equips each player with only the bare essentials as they're forced to turn to weapons scattered around the map to increase their livelihood.

Check out the trailer below:

Battlefield 3: Aftermath will release on the following dates—thanks EA for making it so complicated:
PlayStation 3 Premium members: November 27
Xbox 360 and PC Premium members: December 4
PlayStation 3 players: December 11
Xbox 360 and PC players: December 18

I played CoD from MWF1 - Black Ops.

Lost interest in the franchise on Black Ops and picked up BF:BC2 and fell in love.

At first I wasn't thrilled with BF3, the Metro beta was not a good showing of what was to come.

But man what came afterwards has been great. To each there own on the franchises, but BF3 keeps getting better and better!
