E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Gets A Collector's Edition

Posted on Friday, August 5 @ 12:08:51 Eastern by

The fall season means games, games, and more games. Of course, it also means money... lots and lots of money. Bethesda Director Todd Howard unveiled that the latest Elder Scrolls game would join the growing number of Collector's Editions on shelves this holiday season.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will come to retail in both regular and Collector's Editions. The more expensive of the two will come with:

- Alduin Statue: Created in conjunction with the IP Factory, this collector's only statue stands 12" tall and is made of high quality PVC. Modeled from actual in-game 3D digital files, it showcases Alduin, the World Eater. He stands perched atop one of the game's many dragon walls that teach the player the lethal language of dragons.
- 'The Art of Skyrim' Official Art Book: Featuring over 200 pages of striking, full-color illustrations, sketches and models, this stunning 9 3/8" x 12 1/8" coffee table book showcases the characters, creatures, environments, and weaponry of Skyrim. With a foreword by game director Todd Howard and commentary from the Bethesda Game Studios artists, readers will be guided through the game's iconic visual style.
- 'The Making of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim' DVD This documentary DVD contains exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage, including interviews with the Bethesda Game Studios team as they take you from concept to creation and provide insights into the story, gameplay, setting, legacy of the Elder Scrolls franchise, and much more.

If you're in the market for this expansive Collector's Edition, know that you'll shell out $149.99. Skyrim's expanded Collector's Edition will be available in "extremely limited quantities."

    "...made of high quality PVC."

As opposed to low quality PVC? Poly Vinyl Chloride is Poly Vinyl Chloride, cheap f*cking plastic! Regular $59.99. Collector's Edition $149.99. A $90 difference, my God I hope they at least kiss the poor b*stards after the ass reamings they’re handing out.

I could almost justify it at one hundred, but one fifty is just too damn much. You could almost buy three new games for that price.

Dang. I am so disappointed in this. That's the same price for the Halo CE and that came with a statue and an in-game flaming helmet. Lol. I mostly bought it for the flaming helmet...but Come on Bethesda. Give me a cool ****ing weapon or armor, or flaming armor, lol. Or something. The book and DVD are cool and the statue isnt badbut there should totally be more.
