ExtraLives Running Pokémon Marathon For Charity

Posted on Thursday, December 27 @ 08:03:20 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

It's the season of giving, and what better way to spread some holiday cheer than to donate some money to a good cause? The guys over at ExtraLives.org will be running a Pokémon marathon, which starts this weekend and will run into 2013.

The organization has managed to amass $91,837.25 since 2009, and hopes to break the $100,000 mark during this Pocket Monsters themed marathon. They'll be starting with the original GameBoy games and continue right up into the DS era of Pokémon titles.

All of the money raised will go to Free the Children.
