Fallout Is Free For 48 Hours On GOG

For the next 48 hours, GOG.com (formerly known as Good Ole Games) is literally giving away the original Fallout game. No really, it is free. The only catch is that it's for PC only (sorry, Mac owners) and you need a GOG.com account.

So if you have a hankering to RPG like it's 1997 and you have a PC that runs at least Windows XP, go snatch Fallout. I've never been interested in playing Fallout before, but I'm tempted to boot up the Bootcamp partition on my Mac to snatch it for free. I like free way too much.

    Get it. NecroWolf is correct. I would also try Fallout 2 both great games. I started with 2 and had to go back and play 1. Think of this scenario - Kid picks your pocket and steals stimpack->you reciprocate with a shot from a gauss pistol to said kids legs->legs be gone. You then immediately leave the area in order to prevent all out war with the towns folk. You move onto another city and become a fluffer and catch an STD. That is is the craziness that was the original Fallout series.

    Fallout 1, 2, 3 and New Vegas are all extremely fun, each in their own way.

    Aw man, so many memories. I remembered when a friend of mine got the child killer reputation because he used a minigun carelessly and one of the bullets strayed and hit a kid.

    YES! I played the first one a lot and played the crap out of the second and can't find either CD, so this is just fantastic.
