Famitsu Reveals Shin Megami Tensei IV's Japanese Release Date

Posted on Wednesday, February 20 @ 11:30:00 Eastern by

It's hard to believe that a series like Shin Megami Tensei has been around for 20 years and is still only approaching the release of its third numbered sequel. Shin Megami Tensei IV will land on Japanese store shelves May 23rd. We'll have to wait for an American release date, but until then we can take in the stark visuals of the special edition 3DS XL that'll come with the game.

I wonder if the entire body of the handheld has black or white around it, though the 3DS XL typically has black on the inside to allow for better 3D effect. The Famitsu article goes on to say that the title has had a number of friendly features added to it.

Players new to the SMT franchise will find varying difficulties and the ability to save and load whenever you'd like. We'll hope to hear more about Shin Megami Tensei IV in the coming months, and when we do, we'll be sure to let you know so keep it locked on GameRevolution.
