Far Cry 3 Announced for 2012

Posted on Monday, June 6 @ 15:12:37 PST by Sebastian_Moss

One of Ubisoft's largest core franchises, Far Cry is set to return to consoles, and presumably PC, next year.

Far Cry 3 is developed by Canadian studio Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Swedish dev Ubisoft Massive and will once again be set in a jungle island.

Dan Hay, Producer at Ubisoft Montréal, said:

Far Cry 3 brings something new and unexpected, while still building upon the foundations of excellence that are inherent to the Far Cry brand.

Whether you’re already a fan of the Far Cry series or jumping into the franchise for the very first time, you just might be blown away by the gritty story and epic adventure this third installment will deliver.
