LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Feel Dead Space 3 Coming In The Air Tonight

Posted on Monday, January 28 @ 01:57:55 Eastern by

I'm not a big fan of Phil Collins. I... hate his music. That means Genesis too. That's really the only problem I have with this launch trailer. Beyond that, I love the way it mixes prerendered with plainly labeled gameplay footage, but why is Isaac still relying on his dainty little plasma cutter? My Isaac is currently outfitted with a rocket-launching electrocution gun and a flaming-rivet mini gun, thanks to Dead Space 3's new crafting system.

As much as I'd like to gush, I'll have to wait for next Tuesday, launch day at 6:30AM. That's when Game Revolution's review will go live. EA and Visceral Games are now just eight days from letting gamers flood Tau Volantis with flaming-sawblade guns on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

My review copy is PS3, but the Kinect stuff is basically saying "quick heal" instead of just hitting the B button. The only reason to try it out would be to see which swear words register as they're programmed but detailed no where officially.

The Kinect is easily my most hated thing of any home console anywhere, anytime. I remember when we were all hopeful it would amount to some new gameplay application.

Honestly it feels like such a joke to sit down next to anyone involved with a game and listen to them try to be excited about/sell the Kinect.

I wasted money on the Kinect. Great for parties and I guess exercising, not much else. At least I responded to your shout out in GR's Dance Central video. My video of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" is way out of sync, but sounds so much better. For anyone reading this comment, this is what i'm talking about. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRDV4DI7les Thanks to Dan (mostly), I got over 3,000 views.

I don't mean to be a troll, but this game is exactly as I'd feared. I loved the first two dead space's so much, I finished ds2 on hardcore difficulty twice. It's unusual that someone could play the first two games in a series obsessively and then not even buy the third one, but that demo threw me off so much that I'm not even going to bother. Ds3 isn't dead space, it's a generic shooter (with boring shoot outs) using the dead space look. Well ****ing done epic games, you've ruined the third person genre for everyone, even people who don't like your overrated gears series

I... can understand where you're coming from, but everyone I've seen who's reacted this way to Dead Space 3 is a little ahead of themselves. Seriously, wait for reviews or even just rent the full game for yourself. You really can't tell how it plays until you do just that.

yeah i know it's pretty silly to get so far ahead of myself. i just find demos to be very accurate in portraying how the game actually is, that's why i went out and bought a brand new copy of DMC without having played the previous games, and i love it. I just cant see dead space 3 turning out the way i want it to. DS2 was about my limit for how action based i wanted the series to be, and if the demo is again an accurate showcase, i doubt very much that i will enjoy it

What exactly IS the demo? Is it the opening of the game? I'm too lazy to download and see for myself :P

I think it might be the start if the game, and if that's the case then it's a carbon copy of the beginning of uncharted 2, albeit with average graphics

I happen to love Phil Collins, and I just watched that music video yesterday. Coincidence? I think so...

I felt DS 2 was to DS 1 what Bioshock 2 was to 1: an improvement in every respect technically, but a return to the same atmosphere as the predecessor, robbing the sequel of the same awe experienced the first time around. But whereas Infinite is really shaking things up, I don't think this will be revolutionary enough to suck me back in.

I'm not a fan of these gameplay, live-action, pre-rendered mashups.

Phil Collins has staying power if they're still rocking out to him that far into the future!

Don't like Phil Collins? Good thing that was just a cover/remix of his then!
