Final Fantasy XIV Coming To PlayStation 4 April 2014

Posted on Tuesday, December 3 @ 09:51:57 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
is set to launch on PlayStation 4 this coming April.

In addition, beta testing will begin on February 22nd, which just so happens to be the very same day the PlayStation 4 launches in Japan. Coincidence?

Square's latest MMO has been doing quite well, especially when considering that initial disaster of a release that was eventually scrapped in favor of a reboot. Here's to hoping the PlayStation 4 version runs smoothly and takes off without a hitch. We need more console MMOs out there, and A Realm Reborn should lead the charge as we enter a new generation of console gaming.

Don't forget that if you already own the PS3 version of FFXIV you'll be able to upgrade free of charge to the PlayStation 4 version. Not too shabby of a deal, eh?
