Fincher-Directed Halo 4 Launch Trailer Now Live

Posted on Sunday, October 21 @ 07:02:30 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

If you've been following any of my Halo 4 coverage here on GR, then you're probably well aware of the fact that I hold within me an unhealthy level of excitement for 343 Industries' upcoming shooter. As such, it should come as no surprise to hear that I just about lost it when Microsoft aired the launch trailer for Halo 4.

The video made its initial debut late last night during Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and has since made its way to the wonderful World Wide Web. We've got it embedded above for your viewing pleasure, but prepare yourself, it'll blow you away—and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Halo fan. After all, the clip was directed by David Fincher. You know, the guy behind Fight Club?

Sound off in the comments below with your thoughts on the trailer.

Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to rewatch the trailer again for a third time. Man, it's going to be hard to get any work done today!

It's pretty traumatic knowing how SPARTANs, become what they are. They made a reference to this in Halo: Reach. I forget who said it, but one said, "She needs psychiatric therapy" and one person was like, "We all could use some. Sometimes you forget who your truly are."

I really hope they explore some of that in the actual game.

Oh, yeah! I want to get in more details about Master Chief's past. I don't care if it's gameplay, in fact it would be better if it was a video. It would appeal to me to see his history and I hope 343i will do this throughout their new trilogy.
