Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, And Professor Layton All Hit The 3DS

Posted on Friday, June 22 @ 08:38:40 Eastern by Keri_Honea

The Fall and early 2013 have just gotten busier, especially if you own a 3DS or are planning to pick up the 3DS XL. In addition to their big 3DS XL announcement last night, Nintendo confirmed a few big name 3DS games to further entice gamers to pick up a 3DS XL or dust off their current 3DS.

Cult classic Animal Crossing will make its 3DS debut this fall, but so far, the launch dates are only set in Japan. Animal Crossing is loved over here almost as much as it is in Japan, so surely it will release in North America either around the same time or shortly thereafter.

In November, Professor Layton will appear on the 3DS in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. For one full year after release, Nintendo will release one downloadable puzzle every day FOR FREE. If you need a number, that's 365 free puzzles to download.

Last but not least, Fire Emblem for 3DS will release in North America in the wonderful early 2013 window. The NA version will also have DLC. Unlike Layton, this DLC will not be free.

Do we have any other predictions for what Nintendo will announce for the 3DS next? Anyone?

This is a looooooong shot, but perhaps a sequel to Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. I got so pissed at the cheap ass cliffhanger ending.

Definitely more Golden Sun, but maybe a little later in the life cycle.

There's another Edgeworth game out, but Capcom is being a stubborn ass by not localizing it.
