Fire Emblem: Awakening Gets Further Details In Today's Nintendo Direct

Posted on Thursday, October 25 @ 11:08:30 Eastern by

I haven't played a Fire Emblem title since the GameBoy Advance, but honestly, I believe it's because the franchise's particular brand of strategy is best enjoyed on the go. Fire Emblem: Awakening is bringing the anime-styled tactics title to the 3DS with some pretty high production values.

Seriously, check it out above. There's some high-quality anime cutscenes, but even the maps and battle sequences are looking good on the 3DS. While we're still without a release date, it's nice to want things, so that's exactly what I'm going to do right now as I watch the video above.

I've always loved the unique characters and permadeath in fire emblem. This one looks to be taking it to the next level with the personal relationships. Just look very detailed.

I just had to comment again. I'm a huge Final Fantasy Tactics fan and this reminds me of the qualities I loved from FFT. MUST HAVE!
