LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

First Access To The Last of Us Demo Granted To Those Who Purchase God of War: Ascension

Posted on Thursday, January 24 @ 09:29:27 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

The hype for God of War: Ascension is not nearly as high as it has been for prior entries in the series. While that almost certainly has something to do with the fact that it's not a numbered installment, Sony's hoping to rope you in with a very compelling deal.

Those who purchase Ascension will have first access to the demo for The Last of Us. When players boot up the game, they'll be instructed on how to get a sneak peak at Naughty Dog's latest; however, it won't be available right away when the latest God of War title launches on March 12th.

There's no word on exactly when the demo will be available for Ascension owners, and whether or not it will be offered later to every PS3 owner remains to be seen. That said, will you be picking of Sony Santa Monica's latest foray into action-packed Greek Mythology?

Son of a... now I have to purchase the game. I was going to pass, as I haven't really enjoyed any God of War title since the first, but... Last of Us.

    Ffffuuuuck youuuuu!
Ascension looks like crap, especially considering what little of the SP they actually showed us so far. Unless I'm convinced it's good, I'll give it a miss.

They'll probably put the LoU demo on PS+ shortly after anyway. I don't think I'll have to wait long.

You mean you're not enthralled by Ascension's multiplayer? :P

I hope you are right about the demo!

I played the beta. Competitive hack and slash just doesn't work.

It's pretty much a guarantee that if a demo for a highly anticipated game comes exclusively packaged with another game, that game is not worth buying on its own.
