Four New Screenshots for Bioshock Infinite Revealed

Posted on Tuesday, January 8 @ 10:41:52 Eastern by

2K Games have sent over a sample of new screenshots for Bioshock Infinite that show off its vivid and saturated graphics. Don't stare too long, though, or Elizabeth might just whip you with that book on Quantum Mechanics. She blinded me with Science!

The other screenshots below depict the deadly use of a Sten submachine gun against a poor sucker standing around without cover, a mightly leap against a brutish enemy with a bullhorned mask that prevents headshots, and what looks like a temple that has way too many candles. I don't pity the (clearly sadistic) guy who spends time lighting all of those...

BioShock Infinite releases March 26, 2013. Yep, it's that soon.

Four screenshots? That's it? I mean, people will still like it, but can't we get a little more? I mean, the game drops in two months (supposedly -- remember when it was supposed to come out last year? I do.). I don't think it's THAT out of the question, is it?

Also, Elizabeth looks really weird in her screenshot. Her head looks very, very large.

True, not sure if it's the right time for the slow-burn approach. At the same time, I don't want to spoil myself with too many pictures and trailers it's a very hard thing to do.

If it lives up to System Shock 2 I'll be happy. If it doesn't live up to System Shock 2 I'll be unhappy. And done with Levine's games forever.

Yearh this sems like one of them games with to many screenshots and trailers can ruin the plot. Which is probably one of the main things in this game. (presuming its like the other 2)

I can't reply to your other comment directly. It's unlikely GoG or any other service will be able to release System Shock 2 in the near future. The rights to publish it are split between two entities: a Michigan-based insurance company and Electronic Arts. The insurance company owns the rights to the IP, EA owns the name. If Irrational wanted to they could purchase the IP rights from the company and make Bioshock Space, complete with SHODAN. They wouldn't have to pay EA a dime.

Very understandable. It's nice to have more available to be surprised with, to be fair.

With the delays it better be good.
