GAMING NEWSGAME UK Stores Closing DownPosted on Monday, March 26 @ 12:32:50 Eastern by Nicholas Tan
![]() 277 GAME stores all across the United Kingdom have been closed today by the Game Group administrator PwC. The retailer's websites are offline, pre-orders have been suspended, and 2,104 people are out of a job. If that wasn't enough, there's more bad news. All refunds and exchanges have been suspended, GAME Reward cards and gift cards are now unredeemable, they won't be accepting any more trade-ins, and all GAMEwallet accounts are now worth nilch. For those who have been tracking the welfare of GAME stores for this past month won't be surprised. In late February, GAME wasn't able to stuck any Electronic Arts titles, including Mass Effect 3, because of insufficient credit. GAME will be pursuing a sale, perhaps to US giant GameStop. Sorry to hear about those that are out of a job though. Unfortunate result of the business of the gaming industry.
