E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

GameStop Becomes Mobile Phone Service Provider

Posted on Monday, May 21 @ 07:39:48 Eastern by

This kinda sorta adds up. GameStop starts offering iPhone and iPad trade-ins. GameStop is rumored to be creating their own Android tablet. And now, GameStop will become a mobile phone service provider.

Plans range from $5-$55 for unlimited text and voice, or $55/1GB of data for tablets. What a ripoff!

The oddest part about all of this is that GameStop isn't planning on selling phones to go with these plans, you have to bring your own GSM-based phones. Although, I would assume they could get you started with a pre-owned iPhone or iPad. But they'd have to be the AT&T kind, Verizon iPhones are CDMA.

    What I mean is:
"Plans range from $5-$55 for unlimited text and voice, or $55/1GB of data for tablets. What a ripoff!"
^ I want to laugh at that because I think it is a joke, but then I realize, wait, I have no idea if that is a good deal or terrible deal and therefore can't trust the accuracy of my joke detector.

Ultimately I laugh at how much of this goes right over my head. I become my own punchline.

Well, for my iPad I can get 5GB of data for $50/month. Hence the $55/1GB being like anal rape.

    Hmm, can Vita's be unlocked?
