Get a Free Copy of Bioshock Novel at Comic-Con

Posted on Tuesday, July 19 @ 12:02:15 Eastern by

Books based on video games are usually just rushed promotional items that are written haphazardly. But this is Bioshock; if there's a game where the writing isn't just pompous for the sake of being pompous, it's this one.

Bioshock: Rapture by John Shirley, scriptwriter for The Crow and author of Black Butterflies, delves into the past of Andrew Ryan, his vision of a man-made utopia and its ultimate downfall in the pit of individualistic greed and survival.

John Shirley will appear at the "Writing in Videogames" panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, June 22nd from 10 to 11am (Room 32AB). He will then give out free signed copies of Bioshock: Rapture at Tor Books booth (#2707) from 12 to 1pm.

Great a FREE signed by the author book. Oh, boy! All it will cost you is Airfare to San Diego, a hotel room (unless you sleep on the streets), the price of a ticket to Comic-con, 2-10 hours standing in line, and every other expense and inconvenience all of the aforementioned bring with them. Great deal! *sarcasm drips*
