Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Get Another Look At The PS4's Alleged Controller

Posted on Friday, February 15 @ 10:04:14 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
Yesterday, we got an early look at what apparently is a prototype version of the PlayStation 4's controller. Today, another photo of the device was spotted on the GameTrailers forums.

Give it a look.

We've got a slightly different angle of the controller this time, clearly showing what appears to be an audio jack on the bottom of the unit, just below the PS button. Sadly, we don't get a better view of what the triggers look like, so those are still a big mystery.

Be sure to share your thoughts on the alleged next-gen control pad in the comments below.

Possible xbox-standard headset type deal perhaps? In game cross chat as well?! Boom

I must be the only one, but I don't get what's so good about cross-game chat.

OK, say you and a buddy want to play, but you are both playing single player games on your PS3. With cross game chat, you can talk about what you want to play, then play it, instead of having to connect to a certain game together to play it. It really makes playing on consoles better.

I can see its uses now, but I'm definitely not the target audience for that, as most of my contacts are my friends and I just use the phone to communicate with them. Anyway I hope they add that thing for the people that can take advantage of it.

The fact you can create your own separate party on Xbox live which is great for setting games up because everyone can check in before they are even in a lobby. With that said, I almost hate the option because it means alot of people do not enter game chat. Or people invite you to Join parties with people from different games.....uuuuuh...when Im playing rush in battlefield I do not want to share communications with a guy playing a racing game, a dude playing skyrim, and a dude who's not even playing his xbox yet still wants to chat with his gamer friends....Hell on earth just talk to the people in your lobby, seriously. You just came in second place in your race? Sorry man, I'd rather talk to the dude who can tell me that there is an invisible guy with a rocket launcher around the next corner!

I'm still wary as to how this is supposed to work. I can't see such a small touch "zone" being usable with the massive HDTVs people have in their homes. I guess we'll see.

That touch area looks smaller than the 3DS's touch screen, scaling this controller to the same size as the PS3 controller. That seems a little hard to control almost anything with.

Probably just the 2D equivalent of a mouse wheel, for scrolling, flicking screens and such.

I suppose this I wouldn't be too surprised by, but it defeats the purpose of touch doesn't it? Isn't it supposed to let "regular" people play games with the touch panel? Or is it just so they can navigate the menus because a big + is too hard to figure out left, right, up, down with?

It's a thumbprint scanner for Sony's new DRM.

Combo thumbprint and retina scan? The speaker holes you see are for voice recognition. You can never be too careful when it comes to piracy.

Maybe it will mostly (for hardcore gamers) be used to access the XMB without pausing the game. or checking who is online playing, direct messages, friend requests etc what without pausing.

to me it would almost be more useful on the back (not sure if it would work on the curved grips). a lot of games suffer from the fact that you can't accurately move a thumbstick while clicking it (like aiming your gun then doing a quick melee in COD). instead you could just swipe the back to melee. having it on the front doesn't really solve that.

Well, we haven't seen the back of the controller yet, have we? Maybe that's part of the redesign?
