Get Metro 2033 On PC For Free

Posted on Tuesday, December 11 @ 11:12:23 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

If for some reason you've been holding off on purchasing Metro 2033, now's your chance to get the game on PC completely free of charge.

Of course, there is one string attached. You'll need to head over to the Metro Facebook page and give it a like. Upon doing so, you'll receive a code that can be used to unlock the game. The deal ends on December 16th.

Not too long ago, THQ included the game in its Humble THQ Bundle, which brought in $4.5 million for the struggling publisher. It looks like they're really banking on the success of their upcoming release Metro: Last Light and hope that if they can get 2033 in enough people's hands, there will be enough buzz to make Last Light the success they so desperately need it to be.

It's true that the bundle has so far made 4.5 million, but considering the default payment breakdown, and how likely it is that people would increase THQs share versus charitable organisations, I think you have almost certainly overstated the amount THQ has received from the deal.

The link isn't working for me. It just goes straight to the facebook login page, but when I login it just goes to my newsfeed.

Bought it on a Steam sale. Still worth it because I don't have to have a Facebook.

I have it on 360. It's a fun game with some intense moments I haven't experienced in a game in a while.

Added it to Steam. Who am I to say no to a free game?
