GAMING NEWSGod Opens the Heavens, EA Confirms New Mirror's EdgePosted on Wednesday, July 6 @ 10:41:33 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
Speaking with GameStar, EA Senior Vice President (hmmm, he sounds like he's in charge of something!) Patrick Soderlund confirmed that work was underway on a new Mirror's Edge project: This follows EA Games Label Boss Frank Gibeau's confirmations that ideas for Mirror's Edge 2 were being worked on. He also confirmed that the game would make use of Frostbite 2, Battlefield 3's GORGEOUS new engine. What do you want to see in a Mirror's Edge 2? What do EA and DICE need to fix? Also, isn't EA going to charge something like $10 (+ retail) to be able to save or something?

In terms of what to improve for the sequel, I'd say ditch those bizarrely designed cutscenes. Keep up the level of realism. Make it grittier in fact. Nice and dark, possibly levels at night illuminated by the neon of the skyline. Lastly I would say increase the options for alternate routes.
Also Nazi Zombies never *hurt* a game ;-)
