Gran Turismo 5 DLC Takes a Detour, Loses Its Way

Posted on Tuesday, October 18 @ 09:13:24 Eastern by

Anyone whose engine was revving in anticipation for tomorrow's Gran Turismo 5 DLC should back off the gas pedal and think about making a pit stop. It's not coming, at least not until next week.

For a game that was in development for 5 years and saw a number of delays, a week long delay for some DLC shouldn't surprise you. You've already waiting almost an entire year after the game's release, what's another week?

Knowing that GT5 fans are hardcore and will likely be pissed, Sony will make up for it by giving everyone a "special bonus" when it does release next week.

Meh. After the laughable"simplified cockpit view" for standard cars in the 2.0 update, I'm not holding my breath for good DLC. How about making some of those ugly-as-sin standard cars premium instead of wasting everybody's time, Polyphony?

Considering it's taken them a year to come out with 15 new cars, it should only be about 53 years for them to fully update the 800 or so standard cars already in game. (800/15) I shudder to think at the size of that download.
