When Grand Thefto Auto III released on the PlayStation 2, it sparked a cultural phenomenon. Open world games were the shit from then on out, and a number of knock-offs spawned. But nobody could do it like Rockstar Games does, which is why even a decade later, we're excited that GTA III is launching on new platforms.
As of today, GTAIII: 10th Anniversary Edition is available on Android and iOS for $4.99. It works on the iPad, iPod Touch and the iPhone, as well as a handful of Android handsets.
I'm sorry but I can't possibly imagine this playing well with the controls on screen... and even then I wouldn't dare put my giant thumbs on the iphone and miss out on tons of screen space... i'll wait until i've got an ipad.
I doubt that my Droid 2 is up to the challenge, and I wouldn't want to try to play it with touch controls anyway. I did buy one of the few phones with a physical keyboard though, so I could use that (if the game even supports it), though the buttons aren't exactly large.
The touch controls are configurable and work very well on any of the platforms (( phones or tablets )) that you purchase it on. I have it for the Iphone4 and aside from a small amount of slowdown during high action spots (( 4 stars for example )) it works very well. Aim is auto so all you need to worry about is having the gun and ammo to pump into poor unexpecting digital hookers.
As I said before , Mass Effect is an incredible universe. ME1, 2 and 3 focused on Shepard’s tale but set the scene for books and graphic novels to complement that story arc and chronicle the stories of other characters such as Anderson, and the Illusive Man whose adventures feed into the events we have already played through.
