Grand Theft Auto V Mandatory Install Size, Disc Number Detailed

Posted on Tuesday, July 2 @ 06:47:25 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Rockstar Games has revealed the install size and number of discs that come with Grand Theft Auto V.

In a Q&A on the studio's website, Rockstar announced that the game will require an 8GB mandatory install for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. As expected, the PS3 version will come on a single disc, while the Xbox 360 version will come packed with two.

Fortunately for Xbox owners, there will be no disc-switching involved, as the first disc is solely an install disc with the other being used for play. Since PlayStation gamers only have one disc to worry about in the first place, this is a non-issue for those with a PS3.

Grand Theft Auto V launches on September 17th for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
