HD Collections Announced for Metal Gear Solid, Zone of the Enders, and Silent Hill

Posted on Thursday, June 2 @ 17:27:06 Eastern by

Konami has just announced via their live pre-E3 press conference (check out our live blog for more details), that a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Zone of the Enders HD Collection, and a Silent Hill Collection will be coming to both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Each game will be reworked in HD, with trophies and achievements added.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will feature Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Konami further adds that Peace Walker isn't part of the PSP Remaster series, and is a complete reworking, optimized for consoles.

The PS3 version will feature game save compatibility with the PSP version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, so you can play at home, and pick up your PSP and continue playing on the road.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection will pack in both Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders 2.

Silent Hill Collection will feature Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. No consoles were mentioned for this collection, but it's safe to say that it will be for the PS3 and Xbox 360, much like the other collections.

Just a thought, why are they skipping MGS ps3/360? Wasn't it only released for GC?

The Silent Hill collection sounds sweet! I wish they would add Silent Hill 4 though, that would complete the package.

MGS3: Subsistence was the one released on GameCube, I think.

Twin snakes was GC, MGS3S was ps2.

Twin snakes not being included might have something to do with the fact it was developed by a different studio, not konami themselves.

The original MGS was on the PSX but I'm guessing they're not doing the first games (Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid) because that would mean they'll have to redo everything in those games.

I'm guessing this will be the edited version of Silent Hill 2. The one without all the penis.

I'll stick with my old version, thanks.

Shame...would have loved to replay the original MGS and Silent Hill. They were the first games (besides Resident Evil) that blew my mind in my early teens.

When I bought a used copy of Silent Hill 2, I was unaware there were any dicks in it. Boobs are old news. I am embarking on a quest for videogame penis.

Also ZOE was fun. Probs gonna buy that up regardless of wang content.
