Hudson Soft Says Goodbye

Posted on Thursday, March 31 @ 13:08:58 Eastern by

Konami had become the majority shareholder of Hudson in 2005 and the merger will complete tomorrow, as it was announced earlier this year. Thus the following final Tweet from Hudson:

Dear Hudson fans. Thanks for your support for all these years! We’ll be closing our account tomorrow. @Konami

Hudson Soft, created in 1978, and their subsidiary Hudson Entertainment is best known for their Bomberman and Mario Party series, and for me, the penguin puzzler Binary Land for the NES.

Farewell, Hudson Soft, and may you make Konami proud. (With Viva! Mall. For Facebook. Hey, it could be good!)
