Initial Call of Duty Elite DLC Offering Starts January 24th

Posted on Tuesday, January 10 @ 11:49:46 Eastern by

Activision and Infinity Ward have announced the first DLC content for Modern Warfare 3 as part of Call of Duty ELITE's premium service to multiplayer shooters the world over. Two new multiplayer maps will join the retail release's rotation on January 24th via Xbox Live and later on PS3 and PC.

The trailer above details the first two pieces of content. Liberation is a large map set in New York while Piazza is an Italian seaside map. Both of these will also be playable in Survival mode. The next piece of ELITE content will be available in February, with two more following that in March.

For those not signed up for Call of Duty ELITE's Premium service, these five pieces of DLC will be collected for purchase together in March. All of this will debut on Xbox 360 first as per Microsoft's agreement with publishing giant Activision.

I thought it was five maps? not sure if it was a typo, but isn't it Plaza. Oddly enough "Swype" thought I meant Piazza....

Probably won't be saying that map name a lot.

btw, if you guys haven't noticed, we're getting LESS DLC this year.

Town Square = Plaza (Spanish) = Piazza (Italian)

I was getting things mixed up in my head because Robert Bowling revealed it on Twitter as "Park", when I tried to remember the name I thought it was Plaza.

Now I'm confusing myself, because now I'm not sure if Park is a different map...
Also, how do you pronounce Reczien?
It it's (Risen) that'd totally be awesome.

I pronounce it as it would be pronounced in Castilian:
Rec like in "record", and "zi" like "see" and "en" like the "n" consonant.

But you know what, pronounce it Risen, it sounds great, I'll try to convince my friends to do it too. Thanks for opening my eyes!

Yeah, that's how I originally said it, then Risen popped into my head.
